About The Event

This is a discussion course (think book club, but better) with 6 sessions. Buy the book and join us every-other Tuesday on Zoom, from August 11th through October to discuss the important topics of social justice and sustainability. Click here to get a preview of what the book is like and a sneak peak of the first session.

Register here, then purchase your book here for just $15 with the coupon code "wenatchee." That's half off! You can choose an e-book version or pay about $7 in shipping for a paperback book that will arrive in 5-7 business days. Tip: if you're participating with a friend, order your books together and split the shipping. If you can't afford the book, please email us at hello@sustainablewenatchee.org to take advantage of a few limited scholarships we have.

When you register, you'll recieve an email with details to join us via Zoom. Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, August 11th from 7-8:15. Then we'll meet every-other Tuesday at 7pm until October 20th: August 25th, September 8th, September 22nd, October 6th and October 20th.

Groups will be limited to 12 people to ensure everyone has a chance to share their thoughts. If you get added to the waitlist, that's just because we've filled up our first group - don't worry, we'll be creating as many groups as we need. Buy your book and hang tight for a Zoom link for your group.

"Seeing Systems: Peace, Justice, and Sustainability: How does one mold such complex principles as peace, justice and sustainability into a coherent story? The difficulty reflects the media’s broader struggle to convey how these themes are mutually linked. "Seeing Systems" connects the dots between three of society’s most pressing challenges and helps participants find pathways for powerful change in our everyday lives."

This Discussion Course is designed to be much more than a book club; it is designed to be a guide for community building, transformative learning and life-changing action. When you break big issues into bite-sized pieces and talk through them with others, you discover insights and inspiration that are hard to find on your own. We'll learn, together. You build a personal network of shared stories and support that makes it easy to take action. In short, you become part of a community for change.
